Still thinking about high interest low vocabulary for non-fiction series. Maybe an interactive series. Where the child determines where they go from page to page. Revising still PB, MG and YA novels.

Brooks and I read some nonfiction books this week. He loved the pictures and not so much the words. So I am thinking a new way to present info about animals or plants that make it interesting for kids that don’t read well.

Lily’s Lagniappe: New Year’a Eve all over the world. Be kind, be patient and be positive.

Revising a PB, MG and YA novels and manuscripts, hopefully my brain can process all of this during this time of the year. Continuing to be a part of 12 X 12 in 2017, hoping next year to be more active on the boards. All I know is that 2017 is going to be an awesome year for writing goals.

Lily’s Lagniappe: This time of year in Baton Rouge and all the cities on the Mississippi levee are gearing up for the the Christmas Eve spectacular of Bonfires of the Levee. If you are in the area go and see the structures people have built to burn and light the southern skies. You will not be disappointed.

Revising PB manuscript, MG manuscript, YA manuscript and still trying think of new PB manuscripts for 12 X 12 and also new MG ideas. I need to start revising Basketball Ballerina.

Lily’s Lagniappe: Christmas is the time of year that we need to slow down, listen to the world around and appreciate what we have not what we want. Being happy and satisfied with what you have is the first step to happiness.
