Continuing to work on the new manuscript is satisfying but also hard to get the mood and theme correct. Hopefully this little book will be a nice complement to the first book.

The revision process is a tricky one. I think it is the hardest part of the process. Taking out words or adding them because you need a transition is hard and difficult as your work on other projects.

Lily’s Lagniappe: Youth last night was very good. Working on the needs of others takes stress off yourself. It is probably the most satisfying thing you can do. A servant’s heart.

Lily’s Lagniappe: The LSU Tigers are playing Miami this year in the opening game for both squads. They are playing in AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Dallas.

Writing up a storm in the wee hours in the hotel room while Cherish and Brooks sleep. Used my phone for light. Felt like I was using fireplace light to write like some of the early writers and poets.

Lily’s Lagniappe: Cherish slept until 10:30 this morning. Brooks was playing FORTNITE and I was writing chapters for Book 2 with characters from FLIES IN THE OUTFIELD.

Wrote an entire chapter before Brooks woke up this morning. Going to the ALPHA movie today. Popcorn and sweets. The movie was good and yet not one word of English was spoken. The trials and tribulations of the boy and wolf surviving together was tremendous.

Lily’s Lagniappe: Brooks was a gem all weekend. He ate well, slept well, and swam well. A delightful weekend.

Writing second book based on characters from FLIES IN THE OUTFIELD. Travis, Reggie and Dusty meet MK. He’s a great player but there is a secret that could destroy their team. Travis knows the secret but decides to keep it. It’s MK’s secret to tell.

Revising the manuscript for SCBWI Carolinas Conference critique. Took manuscript to Teresa so she can send it to A. Penfold.

Lily’s Lagniappe: Hoping to see Brooks this weekend before he goes back to school. Approaching it right with Cherish will be the issue. Offer to get him clothes for school and let him play at the pool and go to the movies before he heads back to school.

Revising the synopsis and manuscript for the SCBWI Carolinas conference. SHE SHOULD HAVE TOLD is the manuscript I am sending in this year.

Been revising according to the agent Stephanie Wills suggestions from last year.
