Lily’s Lagniappe: The carnival season is in full swing in Louisiana. The courts, the Krewes, the Balls, the festivities, the king cakes, and the atmosphere of the people at this time is infectious. If you need a lifting of spirit, a soulful rejuvenation visit the state during this time. You can’t help but love this time in my state.
Still revising SHE SHOULD HAVE TOLD and BASKETBALL BALLERINA. Working on some PB manuscripts for 12 X 12 this year. Really want to submit to editors this year. Hopefully I will hear from Ripple Grove Press soon so I can submit THIS OLD MAN to others.

Lily’s Lagniappe: Baseball season will be beginning in Feb. I plan to go down and see some games. We are planning a trip down to Spring Game in April.
Waiting for an answer back from an agent, but continuing to write and revise on a YA novel and MG novel. Needing and formulating ideas for PBs. Participating in 12 X 12 again this year. Hopefully something will come of it.
Lily’s Lagniappe: The winter temperatures are heading in tomorrow. The following six or seven days are all in the 40s and sunny. So it will feel really cold. Since it has been so mild it will definitely be cold.
Still revising BASKETBALL BALLERINA. Thinking about PB ideas and wanting to begin to formulate manuscripts based on those ideas. Hoping to hear from the agent in the near future. Also I submitted a manuscript through 12 X 12 to Ripple Grove Press. I should hear from that sometime soon also.
Lily’s Lagniappe: Hoping the southern states devastated by the tornadoes and horrible weather for the last couple of days get back to normal before too long. My family in Louisiana are finally getting their houses to a point where they are comfortable.

Sent a new chapter to be edited by writers group. Two chapters from SHE SHOULD HAVE TOLD. Great insight from group will be beneficial for the overall readability of my YA novel.
Lily’s Lagniappe: Some of the last members of my family are finally getting to be back in their homes since August flood. I still have two still in the construction stage. I hope these two families get into their homes soon. Lives disrupted.
Revising BASKETBALL BALLERINA. While Brooks swims and plays at Great Wolf Lodge, I delve into Lizzie my main character in BASKETBALL BALLERINA. I need to make sure she has depth and conviciton.
Lily’s Lagniappe: Louisiana is in the middle of carnival. Balls and galas are everywhere and folks are dressed in their finest ball gowns, tuxs and tails. It is a festive atmosphere in the state.
At the Great Wolf Lodge in Williamsburg, VA. Brooks and I have come for a extended weekend. Can’t wait. Revision is progress for BASKETBALL BALLERINA. Hoping Brooks has a great weekend.
