Yesterday at the University of Florida Phillips Center we watched my nephew become Dr. Chance Stutesman, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. He will begin work after he passes his State Boards in North Carolina. It was a great ceremony.  The next morning we get up and were going to travel home when we received a phone call from my brother-in-law that Interstate 95 was down to one lane and a 4 to 5 hour back up. So we found an alternate route through the countryside of South Carolina. I guess I would have enjoyed it if I wasn’t looking for water on the roadway or flooding. We traveled a way folks used to go to the coast before interstates; boy were we troopers.

Lily’s Lagniappe: Tropical Storm Bonnie savaged the South Carolina coast with some surfs and water. Stay safe SC peeps!

Dad is here in Hickory with us. Great time with him because soon we will leave for Gainesville, Florida. Tell you about that later. Watching interaction between people today taking notes. Great research. Moms and daughters, Dads and sons, siblings with each other. Stocking away notes and memories when I need to use them in a manuscript.

Lily’s Lagniappe: LSU Softball and LSU Baseball both doing well at the end of their seasons. GEAUX TIGERS!!!

Please keep this bengal tiger in your prayers that he does not suffer at all and lives to a ripe old age.

Still typing manuscript into computer and loving the new focus. Hopefully can make the book stronger and more easier to sell. The MC is stronger and learns more about herself and the secondary characters are more fleshed out and important to the end.

Lily’s Lagniappe: LSU Baseball and Softball teams may both make it to the College World Series in their respective sports. GEAUX TIGERS!!

YA novel revision is moving along but slowly developing the right focus and meaty substance. Plot lines doing well and even secondary characters developed more fully. Loving the new direction.

Lily’s Lagniappe: LSU Baseball and Softball winding down their seasons. Hopefully each of them get a chance to go to College World Series.
