Still waiting to hear from Ripple Grove Press and the agent I sent FLIES IN THE OUTFIELD to. Continuing to revise SHE SHOULD HAVE TOLD and BASKETBALL BALLERINA.

Lily’s Lagniappe: Baseball season will be beginning in Feb. I plan to go down and see some games. We are planning a trip down to Spring Game in April.

Waiting for an answer back from an agent, but continuing to write and revise on a YA novel and MG novel. Needing and formulating  ideas for PBs. Participating in 12 X 12 again this year. Hopefully something will come of it.

Lily’s Lagniappe: The winter temperatures are heading in tomorrow. The following six or seven days are all in the 40s and sunny. So it will feel really cold. Since it has been so mild it will definitely be cold.

Still revising BASKETBALL BALLERINA. Thinking about PB ideas and wanting to begin to formulate manuscripts based on those ideas. Hoping to hear from the agent in the near future. Also I submitted a manuscript through 12 X 12 to Ripple Grove Press. I should hear from that sometime soon also.

Lily’s Lagniappe: Hoping the southern states devastated by the tornadoes and horrible weather for the last couple of days get back to normal before too long. My family in Louisiana are finally getting their houses to a point where they are comfortable.

Sent a new chapter to be edited by writers group. Two chapters from SHE SHOULD HAVE TOLD. Great insight from group will be beneficial for the overall readability of my YA novel.

Lily’s Lagniappe: Some of the last members of my family are finally getting to be back in their homes since August flood. I still have two still in the construction stage. I hope these two families get into their homes soon. Lives disrupted.

Revising BASKETBALL BALLERINA. While Brooks swims and plays at Great Wolf Lodge, I delve into Lizzie my main character in BASKETBALL BALLERINA. I need to make sure she has depth and conviciton.

Lily’s Lagniappe: Louisiana is in the middle of carnival. Balls and galas are everywhere and folks are dressed in their finest ball gowns, tuxs and tails. It is a festive atmosphere in the state.

The chapter book and query letter are off into agent’s email. Let’s hope it is something he likes. If I need to write more for a series of these books then I will. I am hopeful and will wait patiently. In the mean time I am working on another middle grade novel BASKETBALL BALLERINA. I am hopeful about this one too!

Lily’s Lagniappe: Well I really never wanted but I got a birthday surprise like no other, a yard full of SNOW! Still snowed in but hopefully getting mobile again today.
