Revision is a wonderful way to enhance characterization, making plot lines stronger, through lines of ideas from beginning to end and plot holes. Being in the middle of the first revision of my YA novel I have found holes, characters needing more dimensions. and areas I neglected. I look forward to reading it again after the first revision.

Lily’s Lagniappe: Spring has spring and the pollen is horrible. Also the thunderstorms across the midwest and south causing tornadoes developing quickly and deadly. Stay safe.

Working on manuscript today. Day is warmer and with sunshine. Making Cammie more fleshed out with ugly emotions but because she would have these and she needs to experience them to help the reader understand how horrible this incident was.

Lily’s Lagniappe: Made reservations today for Vet School graduation. Yep, my nephew is soon to be a DVM. So proud!!!!

Well the only day in Baton Rouge with sunshine is the day we are leaving. Didn’t sleep a lick last night. i will sleep on my sister while driving today. But it does give me thinking time about manuscript.

Lily’s Lagniappe: The flooding in the Houston area is Biblical. I wonder if anyone is really building an ark. Stay safe Texas peeps!

Thinking about making Cammie more angry. Do readers want to read anger? Is is appealing? Can they empathize?

Lily’s Lagniappe: Had coffee and breakfast with family then off to meet more family for lunch.

Made a few written adjustments to YA novel. Still thinking about adding my guests to the manuscript.

Lily’s Lagniappe: Meeting family at Longhorn. Then visiting out in Pine Grove.

Now in Baton Rouge it is cold and overcast. Had to wear sweater during the day in Baton Rouge. What? In April? Yep in April!!

Lily’s Lagniappe: Strange weather pattern in Baton Rouge. In KOA and been to Enterprise to get car. We are set for the week.

Packing up for trip tomorrow to the Deep South. Making sure I have YA novel with me. I may not make many written adjustments but thinking about the plot line is also writing.

Delving into more issues for main character in YA Novel. Adding dimensions to the plot line.

Revising my YA novel. Adding more edginess to Cammie. The plot is beginning to thicken and more 3 dimensional.
