Well the only day in Baton Rouge with sunshine is the day we are leaving. Didn’t sleep a lick last night. i will sleep on my sister while driving today. But it does give me thinking time about manuscript.
Lily’s Lagniappe: The flooding in the Houston area is Biblical. I wonder if anyone is really building an ark. Stay safe Texas peeps!
Thinking about making Cammie more angry. Do readers want to read anger? Is is appealing? Can they empathize?
Lily’s Lagniappe: Had coffee and breakfast with family then off to meet more family for lunch.
Made a few written adjustments to YA novel. Still thinking about adding my guests to the manuscript.
Lily’s Lagniappe: Meeting family at Longhorn. Then visiting out in Pine Grove.
Now in Baton Rouge it is cold and overcast. Had to wear sweater during the day in Baton Rouge. What? In April? Yep in April!!
Lily’s Lagniappe: Strange weather pattern in Baton Rouge. In KOA and been to Enterprise to get car. We are set for the week.
Packing up for trip tomorrow to the Deep South. Making sure I have YA novel with me. I may not make many written adjustments but thinking about the plot line is also writing.
Lily’s Lagniappe: Buttoning down the hatches at home and making sure that everything is safe while I’m gone.
Delving into more issues for main character in YA Novel. Adding dimensions to the plot line.
Lily’s Lagniappe: An enormous amount of pollen this year. Every area of the US is affected.
Revising my YA novel. Adding more edginess to Cammie. The plot is beginning to thicken and more 3 dimensional.
Lily’s Lagniappe: The weather this spring is horrible for certain areas of the US. Stay safe!
Mustered enough guts to send in required documents to the agent that requested a second look. Working on the YA novel about date rape. Have an idea for a new YA novel about sisters, need an idea for a new Picture book.
Lily’s Lagniappe: Well, soon to be leaving to go to Louisiana. LSU spring game on the 16th and a baseball game on the 20th. Hoping the weather is spring like with no showers.
Back in Hickory to cooler temps. Good writing weather. Really getting into YA novel. Needing to add guests to the run of novel, need to beef up some aspects of character and then condensing some dialogue. This is hard for me. I respond more to dialogue but apparently I am alone in that.
Lily’s Lagniappe: Leaving in two weeks to visit family in Louisiana. Attending the spring game and then watching a baseball game on the 20th. GEAUX TIGERS!!!
Birthday party day. Lots of fun and great party attendees and their parents. Loving kids and great parents; as they left the party Brooks hugged each child. We can learn so much from our kids. Really getting into the revision of FREAK’S RAPE. Rewriting some areas that have been suggested to be either scaled down or beefed up.
Lily’s Lagniappe: Last night at the RV park the wind was unbelievable. It shook our RV. So much so Brooks was afraid it was going to be pushed over. We knew it wouldn’t happen but all in all it was scary.
