Heading back to Gatlinburg tonight. Hoping to get AC fixed. This is a day when our country was attacked. Please God keep us safe from this kind of attack.
Lily’s Lagniappe: The Tigers won last night and now I am headed back home. Stopping in Gatlinburg. Tomorrow head home.
Spent the day with my Aunt that is having breast cancer surgery on Monday, September 12th. Tomorrow going to LSU vs Jacksonville State at Tiger Stadium.
Lily’s Lagniappe: The day was great but the devastation in Baton Rouge and Denham Springs is hard to look at. My family though struggling are managing to see steady progress. It is slow but beginning to make real strides toward having walls again and floors.
Working on YA novel’s revision. Hoping to get more done and on the computer. Sending the next installment of the novel to writers group.
Lily’s Lagniappe: Slow start to the season for the LSU Tigers. Lost by two points to Wisconsin. Now everyone off the deep end about how bad the team will be. I am forever LSU. Love Purple, Live Gold!
The college football season began last night and today begins LSU Tigers hunt for a national championship. I also know that there is nothing I like better than college football season.
Lily’s Lagniappe: Please keep southern Louisiana in your thoughts and prayers. Most folks have not been contacted by FEMA. They have all made the phone calls but no response. Places of business, restaurants, grocery stores, houses, apartments, salons, thrift stores, churches, doctor offices, dentist offices, etc. ALL were flooded and in the process of re-building.
Well, August is winding down for this year. School starts, expectations are high, football season is beginning and things are getting into a routine. Don’t forget to give thanks for the opportunities that surround you.
Lily’s Lagniappe: In south Louisiana schools that were not flooded are sharing their classrooms with other schools that were severely damaged. Love the spirit of sharing and helping one another.
A terrible night that lead to a pretty nice day. The weather good and most things during the day were okay. Students starting school for the new school year, teachers ready to teach them and parents tearfully joyous for a few hours off. Have a good year to all!!
Lily’s Lagniappe: It is raining in southern Louisiana again. Can they ever catch a break? Need sunshine to dry out the 1000 year flood since most have sprayed for mold and mildew. Pray the rain goes away so Louisiana can come out to play.
This writers meeting will be interesting and hopefully enlightening. For the first time since using a freelance editor I am sending pages to my group. I look forward to their comments.
Lily’s Lagniappe: Folks are still recovering from the Flood 2016 which leveled homes in Denham Springs, Greenwell Springs and Baton Rouge. Pleaase keep them in your prayers and thoughts through the coming days.
